This is my matte entry for Atlantis contest here on matte section.

And i took 2nd place there! I couldn`t even imagine this!

The city was not too deep, on the shelf actually. But it was in the closed cave, so nobody couldn`t even imagine there is something inside the rock. That`s why the city remain undiscovered. But there was some earthshake or somthing, i don`t actually know for sure, but a huge piece of rock just breached the cave`s wall and created a big hole in the ceiling. So here we go - City of Atlantis is now ready to be discovered
As it was very dark inside the cave, so many lifeforms just adopted to it and have a lot of "flares, lamps, lights" of any kind
